Being me in the world

Crying in the wilderness?

There is an initiative going around for everyone to go outside and make a noise at 19h00 to show our thanks to the frontline heroes and support for all essential workers. Despite having doctors in the family, I am mortified to confess that tonight was the first time we did this.

And we were alone: vuvuzela, whistling and whooping.

Then we heard. Neighbours from across the house at the back of the block responded. And so we cried our (small) support out into the night.

Maybe tomorrow it will be bigger.

And then the next night. And the next. And the next.
